We enjoyed this excursion very much! Our ships crew was very knowledgeable and explained how everything worked. It was fun when they brought the shrimp nets in and you could go through and see what was under the ocean. I would highly recommend this trip.
A great experience for our whole family. We had a baby and teenagers and they all enjoyed it. The guides were very knowledgeable and friendly. Some reviews talk about a 45 minute wait. There is, but it goes by fast. We talked to other people, and just enjoyed the boat ride. Once the net was pulled in, there was so much to go through! We seen tons of fish, starfish, rays, crabs, jellyfish, and of course shrimp. The birds and sharks surrounded the boat waiting for there share too! It was very helpful that the crew taught us how to pull the heads and clean the shrimp. We ended up with probably close to 100 shrimp per group. We took ours home and made delicious coconut shrimp that night! Overall a great experience and I recommend!
My fiancée and I LOVED the Shrimp Trawling Boat Tour. It was our favorite part of our whole trip in Hilton Head. We loved our guide Sam & we learned so many new things from him. We fed a seagull and saw 5 sharks! We also got to take home a bag of shrimp which we took to a restaurant and had them for lunch. I would recommend this tour to couples, families, or solo travelers!

What a wonderful experience the Tammy Jane shrimp trawling is! The crew - Renee, Wyatt and Alyssa did an outstanding job handling their tasks while informing us about the island, channel, environment, Sea creatures and providing safe hands-on participation. Excellent job, and we all took home an abundance of shrimp!
Went on the Moon River Cruise and hired one of the electric boats. The cruise is an hour long with an indoor seating area and an area where you can sit outside. The boat is smooth and we had a family of 4 from 2 years to 14 years. They all loved the cruise. There is refreshments on board and live music. The electric boats can be hired for Half Day (3 hrs) to full Day (7 hrs) We hired for 3 hrs and had enough time to travel to Leitrim Village, stop for ice cream and return. Not really suitable for 2 year old but our 5 year old, 10yrs and 14 yrs loved every minute. The is quiet and easy to manage, even my 14 yr + 10 yr old could easily manage. The staff are very friendly and helpful and provide a Map, Life Vests and emergency contact, just in case. It is a short walk if you are staying in Carrick on Shannon but there is Parking close to Marina if you have to drive. We pre-booked a table in Cryans Restaurant, beside the Marina, after our cruise and boat trip. Food for all ages and tastes and a nice way to end the Day. Highly recommended and would advise booking in advance.
Great trip on the Moon River Cruise today. The sun was shining which just added to the experience. Excellent lay out for social distancing. Very friendly and helpful staff. Really enjoyed the live singer. Would highly recommend
This trip was Awesome , spotless , friendly , fun , safe & most of all very entertaining . There was a young man on board singing songs with his Guitar , he was very impressive . My only negative was the bar on board was very expensive
